2010: A YEAR NOT TO FORGET. THE UNIVERSAL ACCESS GOALS STILL NEED TO BE MET.

LACCASO promotes sattelite session at XVIII International AIDS Conference, Vienna 2010:
Political and economical challenges for achieving the Universal Access goals.

Funding and Policy are discussions that need to be addressed in an integrated way, touching upon questions such as the accountability of all political actors involved in the AIDS response worldwide. This session will address the outstanding need for making sure that the available resources for fighting AIDS goes to effective programs and policies, reaching thouse who are in need, through better coordination and integration of HIV and other key policies such as human rights and development.

The panelists for the session are: Anand Grover (UN Rapporteur, India), Cristina Pimenta (ABIA, Brazil), Jantine Jacobi (UNAIDS, Netherlands) Joachim Rüppel (Medical Mission Institute, Germany), Paula Akugizibwe (ARASA, South Africa), and Alessandra Nilo (Gestos/LACCASO, Brazil).
