Mission Affront the HIV/AIDS epidemic in Latin America and the Caribbean, promoting and defending human rights, through coordination, integration and capacity building of civil society organizations, with the purpose to achieve
an articulated and effective community and multi-sectorial response to the epidemic.
Vision All people in Latin America and the Caribbean live in a society of solidarity, free of stigma and discrimination,
and fully enjoy their human rights, with emphasis on health, education, employment and private life, in an environment where States and Governments guarantee life, justice and equity, respecting human dignity and
social diversity.
People living with HIV/AIDS and those affected by the epidemic, as well as populations that live in situation
of vulnerability, have the opportunity to benefit from and participate on all aspects of comprehensive attention, prevention, research, design of public policies and decision making.
Communities and their organizations move ahead with capacities and resources, according to their interests
and necessities, on an equal level with governments and international agencies.
This comprehensive response is given in an effective, transparent and articulated manner.
